Maserati will never be quite the same…

Good to know…

So I was watching this short Kindle ad from the We Love Stop Motion blog and I thought the chord changes sounded a little too familiar. Lo and behold, I found what it was reminding me of, they just happen to be on different keys. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nTSU-mFWGs

Hm….see the similarities?

This guy has certainly thought waaay more about conductors than I ever have. :)

In case you’ve never heard of this guy, I recommend you check him out. That is, if you’re into videogame music. Guy has the entire SMW and Kirby soundtracks out there for free. He recently added the entire SMB3 soundtrack on there (this one is not free though), and I’m on my way to get it. I definitely appreciate his sense of instrumentation.

A bit long, but worth it. :)

Great TED talk, but not quite what I expected. I’ve always had this desire to build something like a digital camera’s CCD but it captures frequencies we can hear (~20-20kHz) and then transposes them to the visible range (~400-790THz). I think that would be even more interesting. :)
